Dr. Samuel Azasu

Dr. Samuel Azasu is currently Associate Professor and Coordinator of both postgraduate and executive real estate courses and was responsible for the reorganization and relaunch of real estate courses at University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, since 2011.

Professor Azasu has a PhD in Real Estate Management from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, where he also worked as the Director of Teaching and Learning for six years and as Postgraduate Coordinator for two years. He has 21 years’ teaching experience, 15 of which has been in the higher education environment in Sweden, Dubai and South Africa and was voted Professor of the Year by students of the faculty of Architecture and Built Environment at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, just before he relocated to South Africa. His research interests cover Corporate Real Estate Management, Reward Management for Real Estate Firms, Real Estate Education and Real Estate Market Analysis. He is the outgoing editor of the Journal of African Real Estate Research.
